Framing

Lee Friedlander's "America By Car" series captures the American landscape through a car window, creating a frame within a frame. Laura draws inspiration from her childhood memories of watching films and daydreaming in the car, blurring the line between fiction and reality in her installations that combine the car, technology, sounds, and text from the movie "Robots. (2005)"

Framing is a short video created during the study at the Master Visual Cultures for the project of Eye ResearchLabs at the Eye Film Museum Amsterdam. Students from various art academies are asked to put together a programme with their work to screen at the one-day festival to give new makers a stage. Framing is screened on this one-day festival and Laura was also part as the student jury. (cherry picker)
