Laura Bouman, 1997, grew up among vehicles. Cars, motorcycles they always have been there. Her relatives, friends, and herself were driving them or tinkering on them - as if they were technical extensions of their bodies. Through sculptures and imagery, she bridges this connection, reflecting on identity and ideas. Using the vehicle as a tool to reflect on the past and the present, Laura perceives them as a vessel holding memories. The topic vehicle comes together in an interdisciplinaire practice. In a playful and uncomplicated manner, Laura provides a fresh perspective on our connection with the world of vehicles.
